I paid £199 for a 6 week pattern cutting course. I am extremely disappointed at what I experienced at The Creative Studio, and do not want anyone else to spend hard earned money on this course which was very disorganised and unprofessional, the level of teaching is minimal.
We were given a photocopied page of instructions from the Winifred Aldrich Pattern cutting book and expected to follow the process and just get on with it, with the teacher Natasha then helping the dressmaking ladies.
The pattern cutting course was being run on the same day, at same time, at the same table as a dressmaking stitching class with sewing machines being used, which made concentrating on mathematical calculations stressful.
There was insufficient table space to do the pattern drafting , poor light in the room , the paper provided by Natasha was not cut to the right size and we had to sellotape extra pieces on in order to draft our patterns. There were insufficient rulers available , I had to buy my own long ruler and french curve extra to the course cost.
There was no provision of any health and safety instruction at the start of the course regarding fire exit, machine cables were a trip hazard.
I tried telephoning Natasha, and left a message but did not receive a reply. I therefore did not return after the second week. Natasha did not call me or show any concern as to why I had discontinued. I had paid my money in advance via Eventbrite and so I guess she did not feel a need to.
As a customer, I have to conclude this is an unprofessional, unsatisfactory course provider.

My daughter had an amazing experience here with Natasha working miracles - my 9 year old had learned how to use a sewing machine and came home with a handmade skirt after just 2 hours! Can't wait to sign her up for more!!

I attended one of Natasha’s courses, it was so enjoyable, friendly and inspiring. I learned so much from Natasha, and felt supported every step of the way. And now with the shop opening, it’s wonderful, plenty of beautiful stock, and always a friendly welcome!
