This is a brilliant shop which has always had what I need for my projects. Help and advice are given when asked for and the prices are very reasonable. It offers all sorts of craft work materials with a wide array of wools, cottons, ribbons, buttons and fixings and many other items including sewing and tapestry kits for various ages. A great place for Xmas presents and stocking fillers for beginners or advanced level. There are craft books available too. Everything you need for hours of happy crafting or knitting!

Such a lovely group of people with a fabulous aray of knowledge. I'm a knitter...I've gone in with one thing in mind and becky has helped me so end on a number of occasions find what I'm looking for. No pressure to buy and nothing is too much trouble. Perfect!! Thank you x

I have been using this lovely little shop for over 6 years now and every time I go into purchase something I always find what I want it’s just perfect .
I went in today to purchase some wool to knit my grandson a hat and wasn’t sure what pattern & wool to get , as soon as I entered I was welcomed with a hello and a lovely smile and was offered some help which I needed , nothing is never to much trouble the staff are so kind , helpful , friendly and very knowledgeable I would highly recommend anyone using this shop , the lady who owns it & her mom are a credit to the store , I left a very happy customer again 10/10

1st visit today and will definitely return.
Got so much patient help whilst choosing a pattern for my very much beginner knitting needs - cardigan; blue super chunky wool.
The said wool was very reasonably priced and can be "put away " for 4 weeks" - which is useful.
There was also offer to return to shop if help required 🙂.

What a wonderful little gem hidden away on Wollescote high-street. If you need anything... and I mean ANYTHING to do with textile crafting (knitting, crochet, sewing etc.) then you need to come here. Fantastic selection of wool, buttons, tools, patterns, kits, threads, needles... everything. Pilled high and reasonably priced. The staff are very helpful too, and have extensive knowledge. Would recommend a visit, even just for browsing.

What can I say! So helpful I always come away with something. Threads, ribbons, wool, material they've got it all. Opening times updated on 4/1/2024 when we got there welcome greeting and happy to let us browse to find what we wanted with some advice along the way if needed. Cannot fault customer service.
And shoes and slippers in some hard to find sizes too.

I recently moved to Stourbridge and a quick Google search helped me to discover this shop was close by. Being a keen crafter I was very excited to visit this local gem. However, I was a bit disappointed to discover that, at the moment, you can't go into the shop to browse. I didn't bother to visit the shop for this reason, until one day when I really needed some wool. I was at the post office nearby, so I thought I'd take a chance to see if they had what I wanted. This was when I discovered that the ladies who run the shop are so helpful and patient that you don't actually need to go in the shop. They will literally bring everything to the table near the doorway for you to look at. If you want blue fabric they will pull out every blue fabric in the shop until you find the one you want. My grand daughter wanted some new wellies and we'd previously been all round Merry Hill looking for a pair she liked, but couldn't find anything. We finally happened to see some she liked in Step Along whilst I was buying buttons. They had them in her size and they let her into the shop to try them on. She was very happy. I absolutely love this shop and am so grateful that it's close by. They have a wide range of fabrics, yarns and haberdashery, as well as other crafting supplies and shoes. Amazing! I highly recommend a visit. They aren't open every day though, so check out opening times before hand. If you love knitting, sewing or crafting, then this is the place to go.

I would give negative stars if this was possible. They still claim to be refurbishing the shop as an excuse to stop any customers actually entering the shop, although this has been the case for some years. A woman did bring me some fabrics to consider but when I didn't like the first one she gathered them all up and told me in no uncertain terms to take my business elsewhere. She even followed me out to my car still shouting at me. It was a unique approach to customer satisfaction that I am keen to share with any potential customers.
