I was buying material to make a hand bag. They were very knowledgeable as always. They helped me with my choices and how much I needed. Plus, they found the hard ware required. I come here from Kent to visit my mum inlaw and always pop in to get my crafty needs. Everything from paper craft to making bed quilts for babies!!!

If you sew you are well catered for. There seemed to be a fairly good selection of wool and knitting patterns. The section for people who draw or paint is not bad either. For me, as a paper crafter, the stock is practically non existent compared to what they used to have. There is small section on one wall, that seems to get smaller everytime I visit, so I can only assume they're not going to cater for my particular craft anymore.

I am really disappointed in this store. I've generally been quite disappointed in the range of fabrics; they don't have any dress making fabrics or cotton jersey. It seems so behind the times and needs a really good update to stop customers visiting then leaving empty handed constantly. The store is kitted out with all kinds of dress making notions but without any fabric to back that up.
On our most recent visit we were looking for a particular card making item and one of the staff (near the till) couldn't be bothered to put her embroidery down to help us look. Just waved us off in the general direction (of something they haven't sold for a year!). Luckily another lady who was in the wool section kindly helped us look and then found out they don't sell it anymore.

Was disappointed with the little selection of cross stitch kits. Has it gone out of fashion?.
There is room for a bigger and better collection. The shop caters for every other craft like knitting , crochet, models, art, cake making , paper crafts, colouring, embroidery, children's craft equipment. Lovely sewing and knitting boxes and bags and a really good haberdashery, whose staff are very helpful and knowledgeable.
