The floating shelves I bought look amazing and are of super great quality - they came with the necessary attachments to install them on the wall but I did have to get another set (as advised by Off The Grain) for my very hollow plasterboard walls. Overall, very happy with the experience and delivery was super fast. Thanks!

This is the first time I have used ‘Off the Grain’ And would certainly use them again. After doing a search on Google for an Oak Coat Rack, as I needed to have it a certain size and this company had the product in various lengths. It was easy to order, arrived promptly and was well packaged. The quality was very good and I especially liked the shelf above the hooks. I would not hesitate use them again.

It is only a coat rail but I’ve spent time and money decorating the room so wanted quality things to finish it off. This is beautifully made, very solid and easy to put up. The lower rail for grand kids coats will still be there I am sure when they are tall enough to reach the top!

We ordered 2 walnut floating shelves that arrived within 5 days because they are made to order. When we received them they were packed very well and we are delighted with the result. Well made and fixings supplied. Excellent service would have no hesitation to order again from Off the Grain

Unfortunately we had a really bad experience with these people.
It took over a month for the coat rack to get delivered and it arrived with each side of the coat rack split. We asked for it to be replaced with another one in a different finish. They confirmed the order and said that it had been dispatched. We didn’t hear or receive anything for another week and when we contacted them we were told that the new coat rack hadn’t been shipped yet. We waited another few days and when it arrived it was once again damaged - the wood on one side had split, it had several marks/fingerprints, it was missing a screw and the shelf at the top was bowed …. And they didn’t send the coat rack we had requested !!!!!
We then asked for a refund.
Terrible experience. Very poor quality and awful service. We do not recommend buying anything from this company.

We are so happy with the design and craftsmanship of our new coat rack. The wood is high quality and time was clearly spent making the item just for us. We will certainly be using Across The Grain again.

SEE a update at bottom. I purchased the Saltaire Industrial Shoe Bench on 4th May. I contacted them 23rd May to say the tracking number they gave me didn’t show the item. They explained they were short staffed in the warehouse & promised it for the following week.
After a few more calls and emails I finally received the parcel on 15th June, badly packaged & damaged.
Second one arrived on 1st July with barely any packaging around it with the loose shelf damaged & one of the legs screwed in at the wrong place so the shelf didn’t fit.
I contacted them and told them I couldn’t face going through sending it back again so said my husband would realign the leg if they could just send a new undamaged shelf, which eventually came on 15th July.
At NO stage was any sort of apology offered through any of the phone calls & emails until I pointed this out to them. So between the bad service & damaged goods I really would not recommend this company. The 1 star is for the coat hook I bought at £55 which only had 1 dent in it.
I WILL ADD THAT THE COMPANY HAS BEEN IN TOUCH HAVING SEEN THIS REVIEW & APOLOGISED FOR THE MANY ERRORS THAT OCCURRED. THEY HAVE SAID THEY ARE LOOKING AT ALL THE AREAS THEY LET ME DOWN IN AND TRYING TO ENSURE THIS DOSENT HAPPEN AGAIN. The fact that they contacted me, by phone to apologise, which I was not expecting & discounted the bench to compensate has been much appreciated. I don’t mind mistakes as long as they get rectified, so thank you for that.

Absolutely in love with my pine mantel shelf. Fantastic quality and appearance. The finish is the perfect mix of modern and rustic which suits our home perfectly. Installation was really easy too as the product has keyhole fixings on the back.
Overall, I can’t fault Off the Grain and would recommend them to friends and family.
