What a lovely place for your yarn. Not only does Lisa offer a good collection of yarn, she loves to share her knowledge. When I asked a question online on a Sunday afternoon I got an answer within a couple of hours with a good explanation and not just yes/no. Good reason to visit and wasn't disappointed!

Popped in today with my partner and our little one. The family that run the shop were so welcoming and really helpful. They helped us navigate around with my wheelchair which I really appreciate. The selection of yarn and tools were great. I was there for crochet supplies but their embroidery/cross stitch supplies looked great as well. We'll be back!

I just recently decided to pop in to this shop as I had been having problems finding some buttons , as there aren’t many shops that sell them out there anymore. My first impression was how welcoming the lady was , and how well stocked the shop is and even better I found the perfect buttons at a very reasonable price ! . I would definitely recommend this shop and look forward to going back , a real asset to Ryton 👍🏻

Amazing shop with amazing staff! There is a huge selection of quality yarns and a good selection of crochet and knitting patterns too. The ladies are very helpful and knowledgeable. I love going to knit and natter, Lisa and Shelia have built a real community hub. Norland Hobbies is big asset to Ryton Village!

Very friendly and the ladies who own it, Lisa and Sheila, are extremely helpful and attentive when trying to choose from the vast variety of wools, embroidery and other knitting and sewing products. Small car park opposite the shop is ideal when visiting Norland Hobbies.

I have had the best service from this shop. There is a wide range of great quality yarns and patterns, which is perfect for my hobbies of knitting and crochet. Also, the haberdashery section with needles, crochet hooks etc. is fantastic.
I feel very lucky to live so near to so I can visit whenever I need a 'happy fix'.

They're always willing to give advice and have well attended workshops. The shop is well lit so you can easily see what you are buying. I highly recommend a visit.
