Never had a painting commissioned before, but working with Nial has been a real eye opener. From start to finish Nial has spent a lot of time talking to us about the commission both pre and post completion. Found the whole experience and the way he constructs the composition is truly breathtaking. We ended up exactly what we had described but so much better- real hairs on the back of the neck when he revealed the finished piece. Outstanding Artist.

Wow, what a piece of art, worked from a basic photograph as an idea, now we have a "living" Broads scape.
The painting changes with the differing light, it is much much more than 2 or even 3 dimensions, visit Nial's gallery and you'll understand.
We met Nial at his studio and were guided through, canvas grades, paint makes, framing choices, all the while chatting away about our photo and his work.
We opted for a Golden Ratio sized painting, with by coincidence a golden frame, that's your homework to learn what that means.
A few weeks later we were invited for the Grand Reveal in the studio and you can tell from this review, we were thrilled to bits !

Nial has the ability to make you feel welcome and involved in the process of creating beauty. We first commissioned Nial for a painting to commemorate our wedding in 2016. We were blown away by the result. Nial listened intently to what we asked for but we trusted in his creative ability to provide an amazing result.

We've subsequently bought three fantastic pieces to adorn our new house with many comments on how perfect they look.

I've barely bought artwork before, let alone commissioned it. After a difficult few years including a house move, I found myself looking at much wall space but with little head space to reflect on all that had passed. I set about buying the odd painting of Norfolk landscape and seascape, feeling rooted in this amazing county, but wished for something rather more personal too. And so I found Nial, through his website. His work spoke to me emotionally and seemed to offer my experiences recognition and space. After a visit to the Studio and conversation with Nial, I trusted Nial to create a painting in line with a brief uniquely mine. For me, this was a leap of faith and a journey all of its own as I waited keenly for the big reveal. All I can say, with Nial's painting now hanging at home, is I'm so so pleased I dared to do this. It's a fantastic interpretation of everything that has been and gone, whilst I look forward to travelling with it into the future too.

My wife and I had seen Nial's work online prior to visiting Norfolk and arranged a visit. Unfortunately none of his available work fitted with our home so we decided to commission a piece. The whole process was great fun and such an experience. Nial guided us through the whole process, from picking out previous work we liked to framing options. The 'grand reveal' was very exciting. At the end we have an incredible painting that we both love that has been painted just for us.

A pleasure to meet Nial and his daughter at the recent open exhibition at his Norfolk gallery & studios in a relaxed atmosphere.

Visiting is a must as his work is inspiring and seeing it in person you can truly appreciate his talent of mastering light, colour and be prepared to be mesmerised with the ambience of each piece!
