Popped in today and was helped n served by Lauren. She was so helpful which was lovely. I was buying the £20 bags on offer. I hv been in a few times to get one but was v rudely spoken to by the guy with glasses who wasn't happy that I was looking thru the mesh bag at the contents n told me off gor doing so!!!. Lauren asked if wanted to swap anything I cud do n for the 1st time ever have left that shop HAPPY n Well served... Lauren. Please pass on ur great cx service skills to the guy with glasses as he really is shocking. If I see him in the shop I avoid going in.... not sure why he's still employed by Typo as his cx service is non existent....
Please pass on my Thanks to Lauren.. You were perfect.... Thankyou. X

The sales associate, who was wearing glasses, exhibited unprofessional behavior by making passive-aggressive comments during my visit. My intention was simply to complete my purchase promptly, but the associate appeared to become upset over an issue that was not clearly communicated to me. Regardless of the misunderstanding, I maintained a respectful demeanor and did not act with any malicious intent. Therefore, it was disheartening to experience such negative treatment from a customer service representative, which I believe is unjustifiable under any circumstance.

Male member of staff (wears glasses) is extremely rude and made me feel very uncomfortable. I can see multiple reviews mentioning his behaviour, why on earth is he still employed?!? I will no longer be shopping at this store

the male member of staff who wears glasses was absolutely disgusting to me thismorning. I asked for a refund and had bought the item on a different card to the one he needed to see. I was mistaken and apologised and reached for the correct card before being told “dont need to be funny with me”. at first I was really confused as I wondered if I had upset him somehow. But throughout the rest of the exchange he was even more hostile. He didnt even give me a refund receipt, he just tore it up in my face and told me bye. Genuinely really upset and wont be going back. Will be putting a report in with head office aswell.

This is for head office so hopefully they take note as this isn't the first review to mention this. STOP THE RIDICULOUS UPSELLING AT THE TILL. It can't be comfortable for the staff because it is seriously annoying as a customer. I love the stuff Typo sells but hardly ever venture in because it is so annoying. Whoever owns Typo obviously wants a very American style service which is so off putting. I've walked out multiple times as over the top staff ask if I need anything, try to strike up conversation and follow me around. Let people shop in peace. Then to get to the till and be asked if I want this promotion or to buy this item for charity or straight up donate to charity. STOP IT. If, as a company, you want to donate to charity to make yourselves look or feel good do it out of your profits. Don't be asking people at the till to donate. I know quite a few people who never shop in Typo despite loving their goods because of the borderline harassment from staff and being unable to shop in peace. As someone with autism and social anxiety it is a nightmare. Even with headphones on staff still try to strike up conversation. I feel for the poor staff because they must get so much abuse from irate customers who just want to shop in peace and not have a ridiculously long till transaction being asked about ten different things.

Bespectacled, male staff member made a incredibly hostile, pressured environment as said to my friend i felt hot, and he replied with a sarcastic, condescending response, “The fan is beside the counter for staff use only.” I felt belittled and embarrassed. On another occasion while i was in the shop, my friend accidentally nudged the pen stand and he proceeded to stormed towards us in the close proximity of the store and told us we had to leave. He then became very irate and began to clap his hands in our faces and roll his eyes and say “kids these days”. As you can imagine I and my friends felt incredibly embarrassed and threatened by an agist, intimidating man as he has continued to bully teenage girls.

Shortly after the incident, i decided to phone up and make a complaint about said member of staff. I then received verbal abuse as i was gaslight by a female member of staff as she decided to turn my complaint onto me and say it was my fault.

I think my complaint does need to be considered as there are a number of reviews focused on the same staff members attitude towards customers and his failure to provide basic customer service.Typo Eldon Square would have a lot more sales and customers would actually be satisfied.

Quite frankly wish i could give 0 stars

Read through all the reviews and thought I should write my experience down. The male member wearing glasses reluctant to give me student discount even I already showed him my Unidays & Student Bean account as well as student email. He insisted that I show him the student card, but hello nowadays even Boots, M&S, JD, you just show them Unidays app is enough. We used to get discounts here just with app , but he insisted and which didn’t make my friends and I happy.
