If you’re looking at this wondering if you should hire McCarty, hire them! The entire team at McCarty is wonderful to work with. From the bid, to design, to ordering and execution of our kitchen remodel - communication was consistent and clear. We had an odd kitchen layout/structural constraints and Travis and Jonathan were helpful in figuring out what made the most sense for our space. We also ended up expanding our kitchen remodel into a kitchen and mudroom remodel and they were great in working through the changes and expansion of the project and still finishing within the projected timeline. We love our kitchen and mudroom and now have a beautiful, functional space that we didn’t have before. They are nice, honest, awesome, dog-loving people. You will not regret hiring them.

McCarty Customized Improvements are one of the best contracting companies we have worked with. Travis is an owner that swings the hammer and is involved in all the details. When you are doing fully customized rooms, he is who you want. His team members and sub-contractors were all top notch, professional and treated our home with respect during the construction. We had a complete full bathroom built, with major concrete and plumbing work done. McCarty handled all the permits and inspections. Travis posted his work breakdown schedule with tentative dates and kept us informed and updated through the process. Very helpful to understand when they are waiting on supplies, inspectors, etc.. McCarty Customized Improvements is a quality company from start to finish, even after final payment. They have completed the punch list and resolved all items. We will use them again.

McCarty is TOP NOTCH! I highly recommend the McCarty team for any home improvement work you might need to get done. They will tell you upfront that they will only do things the right way or they won’t do it all, and they truly stick to that motto. We have been working closely with them on a home flood repair that turned into an almost whole home remodel (our choice). Their pricing is fair and transparent. They show up when they say they will, and they finish their work when they say they will. Constant communication between the leadership team and office. Extremely accessible throughout the project. Special call-outs to Kim, Emanuelle, Simon, Aaron, Clay, Rob , and of course Travis the owner. By the end of our remodel these guys all felt like family.

Let’s talk about the work. We had our basement flooring changed from carpet to LVP, which we purchased from their stock, and it looks amazing. They painted the entire basement and did drywall repairs that are so good you would never know there was damage there prior. They completely redid one of our full baths. All new tile floor, toilet, vanity, mirror, lighting and paint. It looks amazing! On our first floor they removed all the old hardwood and carpet and put down hardwood throughout the entire first floor. We also had our entire kitchen remodeled. All new cabinets and countertops! When I tell you that their craftsmanship is top notch, I mean it is TOP NOTCH! The attention to detail was tremendous! If there was ever any kind of question or decision to be made, we would receive a phone call and they would walk us through our options. They never assumed what we would want and always made sure to ask, which was so appreciated. Everything down to the smallest detail was covered. They also installed and mounted my new tv and sound system. Throughout the project we made several changes, and the team never missed a beat. By the end the final product looked exactly how we designed it out!

To make a long story short we had a lot of problems with our insurance company (Allstate) being willing to pay us for the water damage that we incurred. It literally took Allstate 7.5 months to finally agree to pay what we were owed, but McCarty stayed patient and worked with us throughout the entirety of it all. Kim in the front office is so kind and patient. She was always so responsive and thorough. She gave us all the contacts of other suppliers to go to for flooring and countertops. We got our hardwood flooring from LL Floors and our countertops came from Stone Mart and were crafted by Perotta’s in Hilliard. Every single person we worked with were phenomenal. 14 months after the initial flood and we are finally finished with all the work. 11.5 of those 14 months were from fighting with insurance and making design choices. Once the work started McCarty was done in 2.5 months.

I cannot recommend McCarty enough! If you need any kind of work please pick up the phone and call. You will not regret it! We have future work that we are already planning and have every intention on using McCarty as our contractor. Thanks to Travis and the entire McCarty team - You all ROCK!!!!
