A great business venture with plenty of important history. They manufacture cricket bats from scratch and sell to local cricket clubs as well as export to various countries including Australia. The bats are made from willow trees, and nothing is thrown away. The chips and saw dust are sold to various stores. It was a very educational experience. I highly recommend a visit by all cricket lovers.

I had ordered a Colossus Players Edition , must say I usually go to the show room and have a look at the selection but playing with a friends Kippax previously I noticed the craft that’s gone in to it and risked buying it online.

It arrived swiftly three days within ordering , I had asked for an extra grip which was also put in the package as well as an extra batting grip which was not really kind of the team at Kippax.

Now to the bat , I am so so impressed and please if you are looking for a genuine bargain for the price and the quality being absolutely amazing , the ping is unreal throughout the bat and the performance second to none.

Thanks again Kippax , will certainly be using you guys again for the next season !

BE AWARE … BE VERY AWARE!!!!!! The worst experience I have had ever dealing with a personal independent business. Purchased the Dragon bat (supposedly their premier bat collection @ £350) for my son thinking it would see him into his adult cricketing career. Being 16 at the time, and playing predominantly junior cricket and not even having had the bat for 6 months the handle snapped ….which i was charged for the repair of. Now into the second FULL season the back of the bat has snapped on both sides of shoulders down the side of the splice to a degree that it is
unrepairable, damage that I have not witnessed ever on a bat having played cricket for over 40 years and having many bats in that time. Kippax’s explanation was “heavy use” and “ wear and tear” which is difficult to accept when it’s not even seen 2 full seasons and at junior standard and they never wanted to physically inspect the bat. The company was simply not interested in keeping the end user happy or offering any acceptable compensation other than a “discount” on a new bat. I will not be shopping here ever again and will strongly advise that others don’t as I have learnt 2 lessons: that buying the best doesn’t necessarily mean your getting the best and not all independent businesses put their customers satisfaction at the top of their priorities. I’ve had better customer care when dealing with any on line supplier!!
