We had an absolutely brilliant experience with Goldfinch. Initially went in just wanting a dinner table top but ended up commissioning a coffee table too. The workmanship is stunning, the materials responsibly sourced and the entire team are really lovely to work with. We mostly dealt with Fred, Mike and Charlie and will definitely be contacting them again for other projects.

To summarize for anyone not wanting to read a novel, do yourself a favor and work with Goldfinch. You won't regret it; and if anything, you'll be wondering why you didn't work with them on more projects.

Over the course of the last 9mo, we had the pleasure of working with Goldfinch to design a bespoke storage wall + hidden projector screen & bar, as well as seating bench with extra storage for our living space. We had a fairly blank canvas as we had just moved in, and wanted to best utilize dead space while building warmth, design, and storage into our living area. Fred & Clara were patient, creative, and incredible to work with on the design of exactly what we were hoping to bring to life, and went above and beyond to incorporate unique, bespoke features that you could not get without this level of passion and eye for detail. Fred, Eli, and Charlie were unbelievable with installation - treating our home better than half our family, incredibly kind and personable, vacuuming with precision, leaving no trace of even being in the home installing complex corners and re-cutting wood to fit the space. From ideation, to optimization of planning, to custom wood matching, to installation, to their focus on working locally and helping the next generation.... I truly cannot recommend working with Goldfinch enough on bespoke furniture, home built-ins, and more.

I commission Charlie and his team to plank up a flamed Beech tree that we took down in Dulwich Village 4 years ago. They slowly dried the timber and then made me a bespoke butterfly table from it which is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this company, its ethics and their skill base. Goldfinch did a fantastic job making me a custom made solid ash wood extendable table. I came across this London based company 4 years ago at a design fair. When I was finally ready to buy a table, I searched shops and internet for weeks. When I realised that what I want doesn’t exist, I miraculously remembered Goldfinch. I contacted them and we immediately started working on a design. Charlie, Fred and Mike did a great job from start to finish, accounting for every small detail and request from me. I got a beautiful the table of my dreams, exactly to the measurements I required. I even specified that I want to be able to cross my legs while sitting at the table, which is not possible to do with extendable tables because of the mechanism underneath. And other great things I love about this company is that they are local, enthusiastic and environmentally aware. I’m looking for for a few other pieces of furniture and I’m thinking to order them again at Goldfinch 😉

I moved into a converted school - warehouse style apartment last summer. I was looking to get a large bespoke piece of oak furniture which was unique, gave a focal point for the space and had a bit of wow. I was tempted to buy a high end Italian unit from Heels to house books, vases, drinks cabinet and lots of stuff that needed showing off.

Don’t get me wrong - Heels is a legendary London institution, Goldfinch is better. Here is why. Goldfinch is nimble, they can make exactly what you want - even when you struggle to fully explain the concept. The owner (Mike) has an enthusiastic personality and inspires as well as oversees a brilliant team. Fred is their designer who brought my ideas to life, had a zen like patience as he evolved the concept and showed a natural flair for design. The unit was made in a workshop and not a factory.

I love the different shapes, sizes, design features and function within the unit.

Goldfinch will exceed your expectations as they did mine.
