My girlfriend and I went here for a pottery workshop class which we really enjoyed. We were shown how to throw and make a cylinder, and so got to make three each of our own in different forms. We made two cylinders, two bowls, a vase and a tea light holder which we are both very proud of! Kate is an excellent teacher and was really helpful as it was our first time making pottery. We get to keep the 6 that we made after they are fired and glazed which we’re very excited to receive.
The whole studio was very beautiful with many different art displays, which we spent some time looking around at afterwards.

Only open Thursday Friday and Saturday, however don't let that put you off!! Lots of interesting and different hand made goodies, as well as a little area for regular exhibitions of artwork. There's an upstairs and a downstairs with artist's making and designing on a regular basis. Always open to talk with people about what they make/design. Great place to support local handmade businesses and their products.

This place is one of a kind. It's a brilliant atmosphere providing a working space for several artists to pursue their crafts. The variety as well as the quality of hand crafted things on sale is amazing, and I can absolutely recommend any workshops happening here.

What a unexpected find at number 21 St. Nicholas Street, "Designermakers 21".  Simply brilliant!  A collection of independent artists making and selling in Diss.  You could spend ages, there's so much here, I loved the sculptures and the handmade Quirky Birds.   If you are looking for a unique item this is a great place.  Oh, they also make the work there too, so you may be lucky and sneak a peak of Artist in action.  (Check their opening times,  currently Thurs, Fri, Sat only).
