I went in to the post office to ask for some help as a letter that I had sent abroad many months ago had gone missing according to the person I was sending it to. I had no record of the tracking number given the amount of time that passed. Penny and Roy were incredible as rather than simply saying that they were unable to help, they spent a huge amount of time going through the paper records of all of the registered letter sent last year to help find the tracking number for the letter I sent. This is a level of customer service of the highest order and I am very grateful.

THE BEST POST OFFICE WITH EXCELLNT CUSTOMER SERVICE - I would just like to thank Penny and Roy for all their help, advice and assistance with regard our recent queries and what best Royal Mail service to use and how best to send parcels overseas. They always offer such good advice as it can sometimes be difficult to ascertain this from the leaflets and Royal Mail website. This is without doubt one of the best run and most helpful and friendly Post Offices we have visited wherever we have served and lived in. Roy and Penny offer an excellent service to the community and we always try to ensure we use their Post Office and they truly care for the wellbeing of their customers. Once again, many thanks for all your help. Jill

My experience - well it was utterly abysmal. The husband and wife team were very unprofessional indeed. They were literally gossiping behind the till and loudly about none other than myself - for not wearing a face mask. I have a hidden disability and upon entry to this establishment - I was immediately told to put my mask on- I said I don’t wear one - then I bought a few things and chatted to the wife - she asked why I was not wearing a mask - I said I am exempt. But I also mentioned that she should have a look on the NHS website as this virus is referred to as a common cold on their website. Well that was it - she did not like that at all - and who can blame her. But never the less, I was most disappointed in the retaliation, the gossiping and the totalitarian viper mentality - sworn at and attacked verbally - 3 staff - 1 customer. In the conversation that followed, I told them I could hear everything that they were saying, I told them this was very disrespectful. They did not believe I had a disability - they did not have to serve me - ok fine. I have my exemption card - but it’s the way they made me feel that really ticked me right off. I understand that these are hard times for everyone and for businesses who can be fined for not imposing the guidelines, but if you want to run a post office - I really think you should be more considerate of people with hidden disabilities. Do I believe in the Virus? Well I’m not a doctor, but I think Dr Vernon Coleman has some valid input on this matter. Whatever this thing is - surely it is important to do your own research. Anyway - I was very upset and felt under attack - my anxiety went through the roof - I literally had to sit and breath in my car to take in the dreadful experience and pinch myself to remind myself this really happened. So awful. Needless to say I will not be visiting Roy and Penny at their little shop again. Have a great day and I hope my review helps others with non mask wearing incidents.

Penny and Roy deserves all the support for keeping open a post office that was due for closure years ago, they fought and worked hard to make this a community asset, well done and congrats to them both!
