Today, I visited the Castel Fine Art Gallery in Oxford. I was unaware of this gallery prior to my visit, but my friend and I decided to explore it due to its impressive collection. We were amazed by the Bob Dylan's limited edition paintings and books, and were looking forward to a positive experience. Unfortunately, our visit was not as pleasant as we had expected.

We noticed that the gallery representative, dressed in a white shirt, was constantly staring at us with a deadpan expression. It felt like we were not welcomed there and were being monitored.

We understand that we are students and cannot afford to buy these collectables and artwork, but we expected more courtesy from the staff. The strange behavior made us uncomfortable and we decided to leave the gallery.

As an aspiring artists , we know how to handle artworks and exhibitions. We were not there to harm the gallery or anything else. We were both hurt by this incident and would like the authorities to look into this matter.

Well known celebrities eg Johnny Depp and Billy Connolly show off there talents along with many other artists. Some a little off the wall but all well worth a visit. Both sculptures and paintings to suit all tastes. The staff are very informed and welcoming. The stock(if that's the word) changes fairly regularly so worth repeated viewing.

I recently brought a piece of artwork from the Oxford Gallery. The artwork was a surprise gift for my wife. I must say the staff, especially Alli, went above and beyond to make this purchase a special one, as she made us feel welcome and provided additional information about the artist. The art is now in pride of place in our home and we will forever remember the day we walked into Castle Fine Art.

Having been told about the galkery before visiting Oxford, on arrival at my hotel I looked at the website , found some pieces of artbi liked and then emailed the gallery.
Explaining I had a hearing impairment and requesting a visit the gallery helped with the visit , turning the music down si I'd be able to understand when we talked was very simple , but incredibly helpful.
Allison the galkery director was top notch as was the young land who greeted us.
Allison chatted and talked about the art we found and made everything really easy.
It was a great experience and since our visit Allison has been in touch to help with further purchases

Initially was good - however the lady I dealt with was rather rude on the phone asking me to forward emails and give her details of pricing from other galleries so she could log an “enquiry” I told her I didn’t feel comfortable sending emails from other galleries to her and she wouldn’t take no for an answer. Called again afterwards and was quite pressuring even when I’d already told her I’ll buy it elsewhere. Definitely won’t be returning here again

Well what can I say love it we have brought so much art from this gallery and the one in Cheltenham and exter. We have now run out of wall space. Big fan of Paul Kenton and Simon. Claridge. Last visit was my daughters 21st birthday present.

I've shopped with Castle for a couple of years now in another branch, and popped in while I was in town to check it out. Wow! They've done a great job on this gallery. Customer service is as expected and the variety of artists on display is impressive.

Purchased in early 2022 a wonderful Robert Oxley print for a friend in Greece and had the team wrap it up carefully for onwards shipping - Ally and the team are very professional, knowledgeable and super helpful - a must visit art gallery for the discerning collector or anyone wanting to buy a special present for themselves or perhaps for someone else 🙂 thank you team !
