Since 1978 I have bought numerous instruments etc and used the repair service a few times plus many other sundry items.
In addition to this my daughter took piano lessons when she was learning.
It’s always a 10/10.
There’s a reason why this is one of the longest standing independent shops in the country.

I took my wife’s six year old flute in for a service as Booths (Tony) serviced a veeeeeery old Boosey & Hawkes 400 Tenor Sax years ago (he resurrected it, utterly knackered and then, I played it. It sounded brand new!) and also my B&H Regent Clarinet (that’s another story).

But, this is about a service last week - here’s what my wife had to say

“My six year old flute was beginning to sound breathy and it was getting hard to play top notes clearly (I thought it was me). Tony serviced my flute last week. It sounds like a brand new flute! It sings again 🎶.

Tony replaced a faulty key pad and sorted out the cork mechanism which was moving around.

Thank you so much. I’ll be back again next year for its next service 🙂”

Now, you don’t know my wife. She has very high standards (hence her marrying me 🤣🤣) but she seldom writes reviews except in exceptional circumstances.

As an international student at the university, I had a really hard time to find a place to practice my instruments (specially the piano) when I arrived at the UK, until I found this place.
They lend rooms for a very affordable price and the place is conveniently located close to many student accommodations (around 5 minutes walking). They always have viability and plenty variety of pianos to practice on.
Besides that, the staff is very friendly. They always treat me well when I arrive. I even received a Bach music sheet once as a gift from the violin teacher, and I'm not even his student.
I also fixed my guitar there for a very affordable price, and they did a great good job.
Really nice place and people. I super recommend.

Been coming to Booth’s Music for drum lessons and practice for the past 7 months and everybody in the shop is amazing! My drum teacher has been super supportive and I have improved so much overtime. Really recommend Booth’s Music to anyone looking to get music lessons :)!
