I was recommended to come to Bambers by my sewing class teacher. I was not disappointed. I went on Saturday to buy a new machine (my current one is 30+ years old and not very good). I explained what I wanted and my rough budget. I was shown a range of machines in the right ballpark with a good explanation about the differences. Good demonstration of what the machine could do including thick denim, fine chiffon and buttonhole.

I then asked what the extra £50 for the next machine up would give me and decided that was something that I would like. We did this twice until I decided that I didn't need another 15 different stitches. At no point did I feel that I was being pressured to buy a more expensive machine.

Before we paid Steve looked up to see what offers there were and I was delighted that there was a quilting kit as a bonus.

Ordered on Saturday and it was delivered at lunchtime today (Tuesday). Very excited to take it to my sewing class tonight.

I wish every shopping experience was as good as my recent visit here. One of the owners helped me find the perfect sewing machine for me. I wanted to get something that I could grow into and he led me to an amazing machine without overselling or giving me bells and whistles I don’t need (which he could have easily done). The price was also better than what I had seen online for the machine I bought! 10/10

I took my machine to be serviced a few weeks ago. I've only just used it and I genuinely cannot believe the improvement in my Janome. So smooth, so quiet, absolutely glorious. I went to another sewing machine servicer, not long after covid restrictions were easing. Even though they are literally 5 minutes away, I will never go to them again. Bambers only!
