Asda Great Yarmouth - Vauxhall

Been coming to this branch of ASDA for over 20 years. It's changed a lot, it's a lot posher than it used to be. On my last visit yesterday it looks like the store has undergone some modernisation. The cafe is bright, modern and clean and the entrance to the store seems to have been updated as have the tills. I visited the cafe on this occasion, it's pretty much self service mostly besides ordering, paying for and receiving your food. The menu is pretty limited though you can get a decent jacket potato here. You'd pay about £8 for it anywhere else, here it was £4. There's an optician, chemist on site too and a petrol station. There's a branch of McDonald's in the car park too if you want something different.

It's OK, it's like your average asda, came here as my nephew's wanted one of those prime drinks and this place had one of the new ones for £2, I understand there's a bit of a craze for these items at the moment, but they have restricted them to 1 per person, OK fair enough, but when you've got 2 kids that require not good, as the lady in front of me was trying to buy 2 as she had 2 daughters but the till staff won't budge same when she requested a manager,

So I paid for 1 and came back a couple of hours later and bought the second one, maybe allow people to buy 2 then just 1 least then there's a chance for everyone to have one.

Otherwise would of given 5 stars, place was clean and tidy on our visit, the toy section was good.

Shelves always empty. All they seem to be worrying about is the online shoppers and God forbid you should ask one of them for help. They don't say excuse me either. They just have an air of importance so don't care about the everyday shopper. 4 of them were blocking an aisle having a chat and wouldn't move. Tesco here we come

Terrible store. Now where to sit if you gave to wait for anything. Pharmacy useless. Went in at 2.30 in the afternoon to be told no one could dispense prescriptions as the pharmacist was on lunch break and there would be an hours wait. The character from Little Britain obviously now works there. "Computer says no"! Sums it up. If you need meds in a hurry best look for a real chemist.

It's not my go-to supermarket due to where I live. But whenever I am there or had an experience there. It's always been good. It's the only place that does our specific dog food in 20kg bags. They were nice enough to keep it at customer service when I rang to see if they had it in stock. The BYO pizza booth is amazing in my opinion. 2 x 10" pizzas with 4 toppings on for £4.50 is an absolute steal. It's a shame I don't live closer.

Dreadful Coffee Shop experience. Ordered a toastie, a panini and 2 coffees. After waiting 30 minutes for the food to be heated up (bearing in mind they are already made!) I went to the counter to ask when it would be ready and was told 'we are busy'! (Was not especially busy). When it came, the toastie was hot and crispy while the panini was lukewarm at best, limp and the tuna melt filling resembled cat food. Could not eat it so I returned it to the kitchen. I would have waited for a replacement but was running late by this time.

spent the past 2 days chasing a delivery costing over £300, poor customer service and management. You would think the store is run by pre-schoolers due to the lack of management or care, also is it to much to ask for someone who speaks English to work in customer service, do you think English people are running the customer service lines in India? Because i very much doubt it. DO NOT SHOP FOR A DELIVERY HERE IF YOU ACTAULLY WANT TO RECEIVE YOUR FOOD.

Thought I would take advantage of their 25% discount on wine when purchasing 6 bottles. Big display clearly labelling prices at £6.50 for Riocha. When checked receipt went through at £8.50! When complained told mistake and wine not labelled correctly and nothing they could do. Complained to manager who said wait I will see what I can do and came back with £2.50 gift card!! which goes nowhere near enough for the hassle and time taken to complain. Terrible service, false advertising and how many customers have been overcharged without realising. Have attached photos of the display. Shame on you Asda Be wary!
