SOLD ME USED/DISPLAY ITEM AS NEW! BEWARE!

Well, they had one of the last artificial xmas trees in the area and I bought online and drove the 70 miles to pick it up. Got it home and it's clearly used and has a section of lights that is not working, one of the feet missing, etc.. I call the store to ask what's up and the rep tells me, "Ya, that was our display model." Wait, what It was sold as new. If I knew it was a display I would have checked everything before I left and/or negotiated some deal.

The manager calls me and says, "Sorry, can't help you. You have to deal with Ace.com or return to the store." No apologies for selling me a used tree as new. Called Ace.com and they wanted to offer me 10% discount. For a used tree. With lights that don't work. If it was just the missing feet and clearly being used, it wouldn't be a huge deal....but with a section of lights out..different story.

This place should not be trusted as they sold an in-demand tree as new when it was not and was unapologetic in doing so. Sorry, have to name and shame. Buyer beware.

Gopher Ace Hardware in Minnetonka is so clean. It makes shopping there so much more fun than a Home Depot. Plus, they have almost everything that Home Depot has-and better service

It's clean, but the staff is hit or miss. I've had an employee say they don't work there just to not help me. I'd be bitter too if I was pushing 60 and working minimum wage too I guess. I'm not much to complain but if I'm treated rudely I just won't shop there. So best of luck.

These folks are awesome. There had a sale out on the street we bought a lot of stuff. It was great after all that we forgot why we even went to Ace but we sure glad we did and we still don’t know why we went there but we’re glad people are great. Service is great need to experience it …

I love the other Ace locations for their friendly, helpful associates. This location didn't seem as inviting or friendly as the others. New to the store or a frequent customer, every other location has been absolutely above standard in customer service.
