Very cold when we visited but in the warmer weather, I can only see the gardens really busy. Evidence of an Abbey, ponds and a water way, lots of history and a great play park for children. Parking is small but if you get a spot, it's free for 1 hour but u need to get a ticket with your number plate on it, I think, Β£2 after that. Walking distance to the town centre. We saw a few people fishing too.

I absolutely love this place, I often come here when I want a bit of peace and quite and love to be near the river. During the summer you can find a quiet spot to picnic, or have a wander around in beautiful nature and take a seat to rest your legs. There are public toilets and a children's play area. Dog's are welcome here too and it's a lovely open space for them. It's also a nice place to come and enjoy a cuppa and catch up with old friends

A beautiful peaceful environment. A well designed flower garden is adjacent to the original Abbey enclosure. Wheelchair accessibility into the area and along the paths, but steps and an embankment are to one side of the flower garden.
A place to relax and to reflect...

The gardens are the grounds of the old abbey. There is a selection of exotic trees planted here like giant redwoods. You can also see some of the abbey ruins in the corner of the park. Marked out on the grass in a big brick cross is the layout of the old abbey.

Beautiful and tranquil park. Beautiful in Autumn with all the colours and fallen leaves. And with an interesting folly

The garden is ok, it takes for one to see one and you saw all of them, manicured, nothing remarkable. Located on the site of the former Abingdon Abbey, not far from the river, with one distinctive feature characteristic of the whole city, there is nothing to see nothing to do - the whole city is one big coffee shop
