We were up in Rossendale to visit our son and daughter in law and our son suggested we come here for a visit. A beautiful church with a views to match. A fantastic array of antiques and collectables,displayed in cabinets etc across two floors. The tea room was lovely we had the ploughman's, burger and panini with a bowl of piping hot tomato and basil soup. Tiramisu finished off the meal too. A lovely place to visit and we'll definitely visit again!

Visited Holden Wood Antiques twice now.

The first thing that struck me was the beautiful building and its surroundings.
There are benches to sit and enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the venue and its surroundings.

The entrance is at the rear with car parking spaces that are free.

As you would expect from an Antique Sales Venue, there is a variety of things to ponder over. Pictures, ornaments, jewellery, books, and lots more.
We spent approximately an hour viewing the sale items and a further half hour outside in the sun, admiring the views.

The main entrance has a few steps, and there are stairs to get from the ground floor sales to the upper sales floor.

It was not too busy when we first visited, (late afternoon weekday) so quite a relaxed time without any parking or crowding issues, 5* unlike the second visit, ( lunch time weekend) which we had to wait for someone to leave to get a parking spot, and browsing was more difficult.
The number of people in the antique sales didn't equate to the lack of parking!! "However, the 'tea room' was extremely busy." 🤔
We didn't use the tea room, and so review is for the Antiques Sales Only.

The staff on the antique sales reception and payment area were very friendly and helpful.

Part cafe part antique center in a converted church on the Grane Rd, Rossendale. A few picnic tables outside with umbrella's for sunny day's as it was when we called. The staff were polite and efficient. The food was lovely, very fresh. I had a hallumi salad £10.95 and the hallumi was cooked perfectly and the salad very fresh and crunchy. My partner had the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel £8.25 which came with a side salad and colslaw which he said was also very good with lots of filling on the bagel.

Had the festive afternoon tea which was delicious. Service was very good nothing was too much trouble. Staff friendly and efficient. Food was lovely freshly made, coffee was hot and plenty full, we were not pressured to leave our table once we had finished. Would recommend a visit.

The cafe offered a very varied selection. Lots of yummy things that made decisions difficult.
The antiques side was equally as varied. So many lovely things and prices to suit everyone. A thoroughly satisfying visit.

We finally came to the Holden Wood tea room, having driven past it so many times, saying we needed to try it! It was Great Gran's birthday lunch, and the food was lovely as well as the service. I had the salt and pepper loaded chips with pigs in blankets 😋 (as amazing as it sounds). Craig, who served us, was extremely friendly and happy and just enhanced our visit. We will definitely be back.

A poor experience from start to finish.

I booked a table ahead of time, knowing this place gets busy. I was told I could have a table at 11am but we'd have to be out before 12. Pressurising customers to leave by a given time is never a good practise.

On arriving we ordered two full English Breakfasts. I asked for no mushroom and could I have a hash brown instead. I was told no, as hash browns are £1.20 each. Rather ridiculous, as it's a fairly straightforward swap.

Ahead of the food our drink were brought to us, along with cutlery and a paper napkin. The napkin was already soiled with something, I don't know what, see my picture.

The drinks were ok, the coffee a little weak.

The food came fairly promptly, a small breakfast, even for the one with the mushrooms, and for a tenner without a drink, I expect more. The plate was swimming in grease, you could have literally poured it off.

The sausages were very nice, but the egg was overcooked, the black pudding alone was thermonuclear hot and the beans were runny "supermarket own brand" fare.

Looking around, the place is dirty, oh it's clean enough in the obvious areas, but the tables bases, any corners or under decorations or plants, looks like it has never been cleaned.

All in all, avoid this place, high prices, poor service, below average food in an unhygienic setting. A few years ago it was very good, but they've really let success go to their heads.

Went to the Tea Rooms with a friend. Food was nice with good service. Portions were not too large for brunch/lunch. Parking is limited which made leaving a little tricky.
