Gorgeous little shop for gifts at Christmas and some drawing supplies

Purchased a card and note book from this shop today. Whilst choosing my gifts two customers came in, a mother and daughter. The shop assistant? Owner? told the two ladies that face coverings weren't necessary so they removed them. I couldn't quite believe this but I continued choosing my gift. On paying for my items the assistant said to the lady " Ive never put christmas items out so early before" and the woman replied " is that because you are worried about another lock down"?...to which the assistant replied Yes i guess but there wont be a lock down here in Devon". My blood was starting to boil by this point...NO masks in a shop this other customers in, whilst saying that Devon was in some way exempt from this virus! I told the assistant that just today there were more confirmed cases on the wards at Torbay ...to which she replied.." well im sure there are lots of cases of flu and colds too and its a shame people with SERIOUS illnesses cant be seen in hospital now..! That was enough for me...i completed my purchase ( which I now regret massively ) wished good luck with a heavy dose of sarcasm on the side and left the shop vowing never to go back there again. If this women looses her business, house, car, loved ones maybe she will learn to have more consideration for other....even those outside her little Totnes world!

A lovely very individual shop selling cards, gift wrap, papers, art materials and other paper related things. They also sell many cards and prints by local artists. There's a great atmosphere and it's lovely to browse in.

I guess this shop must be doing well as the owner refused to sell me a framed artwork for £55 unless I paid cash - it’s 2023 when stall holders and pop ups take card payments - very poor service and a superior and sanctimonious attitude

There are lots of gorgeous cards, paper and notebooks here.
There are also some lovely unusual cards which would frame up beautifully .. and notebooks which would make great gifts.
