After 17 years of skiing with constant pain, I’ve finally had a day on the slopes without any discomfort! The new boots are fantastic, but it’s the insoles that have truly made the difference. I’ve literally gone all day without needing a single painkiller—something that’s never happened before! The new insoles and the new technology you created them with are brilliant!

I can’t fully express how much this means to me. I skied further and longer today than I have in the last decade! You’re a miracle worker.

I bought new ski boots here in December.The fitting process consisted of a discussion of my needs and skiing experience, followed by extensive measurement of my feet, followed by making footbases and trying of various different boots for comfort and fit. The staff were friendly, and were clearly expert ski boot fitters. I have since skied for a week on the boots I bought, and they worked well for me with no problems or discomfort.

What a great place, the guy who fits the boots can only be described as a god at the game, I'm sure he has forgotten more than most boot fitters know . I had purchased boots elsewhere and had them custom fitted by another shop. They didn't feel right but was told they would bed in and to be fair everything I was told seemed very reasonable , so off I went for a weeks skiing. It was terrible stopping all the time taking my boots off etc. as I'm sure anyone who has had badly fitted boots knows its miserable, anyway I came home and as you do thought I will get it soughted for next time. Now a few weeks before I go again I started searching to find someone to help, and I came across rivvington alpine, and booked a appointment online. I genuinely thought I'd be going and buying new boots. But the genius that works there waved his magic wand properly fitted my custom insoles stretched out my shells where needed and turned my uncomfortable boots into a pair of bedtime slippers. Currently wearing them in the living room amazed at how comfy they are now . Really can't recommend this place enough!!!! If your after new boots give him a try you won't be disappointed

On arriving at my hotel late I tripped struggling with bags and stubbed my big toe pretty badly on a concrete step. By morning the nail was black and lifting off, so I was obviously worried it would affect skiing.
But although the boots fit very snuggly indeed, there was no pressure on my toes and it didn't affect me once during a full week of skiing. It actually hurt more to walk in my shoes in the evening, especially downhill.
I had boots fitted at one of the big chain stores about 15 years ago and never really felt the benefit. Very glad someone on a skiing trip told me there's such a thing as master bootfitters in the UK!

As a former ski tech and boot fitter, I’m reasonably well qualified to review Rivington Alpine.

Within 25 miles of home, I have a choice of Ellis Brigham (3 branches, nearest 12 miles) and Snow and Rock.

Rivington Alpine is 42 miles away; I drive past Snow and Rock at Chill Factore to get there.

It is well worth the effort for the knowledge and expertise that surpasses the chain stores and most independents.

They stock a small but well selected range of peripheral equipment, but that’s not really what they do; they are boot fitters first and foremost, and an excellent resource for skiers in the north west of England, and further afield.

Bought boots for myself and husband several months ago and have just returned from their first use in the Alps.

It’s a long process getting the right boots and with the right fit, and it’s not cheap… but having finally tried them out we both think it was worth every penny and made a noticeable difference to our skiing. Wish we’d done it years ago!
