Went in with £300 budget, tall guy was just following round the store, repeated asking if I was okay and wouldn’t let me just browse in peace. Got to the point that he was chasing me up the stairs like I was a thief that I simply just walked out

Not the shop it once was. The member of staff was new. However, he appeared disinterested, and I drove the sale, not him. Unfortunately, this outlet seems more like a self-service clothes shop and not an outdoor centre of excellence able to provide good advice. The accountants must have finally taken over the operation.

.Cotswold Camping has a great range of clothing and equipment for camping, running, walking, hiking. Main brands are stocked. Also a great range of Garmin watches (I got my current Fenix from here and was the only shop that stocked it at the time). Be careful though with brands like Rab and Jack Wolfskin your credit card will be smoking when you leave. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. Recommended.
Tip: whilst you can sometimes get parked outside the shop in the little lay by thing it’s better to park in Morrisons or Aldi car park - trust me.

Absolutely amazing experience from the team, but particular shout out to Katy. She was very patient and extremely knowledgable, with my difficulties of finding suitable walking footwear.
Advised me how to break the boots in (sorted out my insoles due to the plantar issues I have). First walk completed in them, no blisters, boots fit like a glove.
Couldn’t have asked for anything more from Katy (and thanks again for sponsoring me on my upcoming walk ❤️).

booked a gait analysis as was looking for my first pair of running trainers, the lad in the running section was extremely helpful and listened to what i needed, brought out a selection of trainers to try and i chose the pair that i felt most comfortable in. would recommend this place to anyone thats looking to get into running, also a great selection of outdoor clothing and equipment downstairs. the other guy manning the till downstairs was also very friendly. it was nice to go into a shop and the staff members seemed happy to be there, its very rare these days. keep up the good work it doesn't go unnoticed!
