Sebastian was really attentive and helpful taking in all the info about my needs and giving me great advice about my first pair of walking boots, even while serving multiple customers at once. I didn't feel any pressure to pick more expensive options just an explanation of the materials and what they were best suited for. I got some good tips from Constantinos as well on how to care for them and clean them so they last. I haven't had a chance to hike in them yet but the ones Sebastian picked for me felt very comfortable and sturdy, I'm looking forward to using them 🙂

Recently went in to exchange a pair of new boots I had recently bought in another Cotswold store . Seb was excellent in giving expert advice with particular personal service at a time when the store was busy.

An absolute scam, I bought a pair of keens walking boots wore them around the house like they suggested and then wore them to and from a shop that’s 5 mins away from my home. Found the shoes hurt when I wore them to the shop so 2 weeks after buying them I’ve traveled nearly 45 minute back to the store to return these shoes and in a instant they claim I can’t get a refund due to me wearing them once as it voids their returns policy that they never told us when we bought them. An absolute scam, so I now have a £120 pair of shoes that I can wear

We were helped by the lovely Ting who was very informative and insightful about our running shoes needs. We definitely left with more than what we came to buy and were pleasantly surprised by the variety of products available. This store has never disappointed in the last 3 years we’ve been visiting it for our running and trekking needs.

I visited this store today looking for a PFA free light coat. On the sound system as I entered the shop was the companies' claims regarding sustainability, Eco-friendliness etc. I listened to this then picked up a Ayacucho coat which had a label on it stating it had been made using Teflon in the manufacture. This is so disappointing and, frankly, dishonest. Please Cotswold Outdoor...if you want us to believe in your eco-credentials you need to remove such products from your stocklist. I was in the store and wanted to buy a jacket that they didn't have in my size. The assistant said he'd order it, but the system wouldn't allow him to, so I ended up doing it online.

Fast forward 4 weeks and the jacket hasn't arrived. I popped into the store to see what was going on and they couldn't work out what was wrong so gave me the customer service number to call and said to wait until Monday and it's not open on the weekend - this isn't true!

Spoke to customer service and they blamed the manufacturer (Rab) and said to be sometimes orders take a bit longer than usual. Chased it a week later and was told they were now out of stock!!

The customer service has gone dramatically down hill with Cotswold Outdoor. My advice is to shop elsewhere.

We were impressed by the excellent customer service and helpful advice from Sam on our first visit to Kingston store recently. I ended up going back multiple times to sources the gear I needed for my base camp trek and Sam along with all other staff members at the store supported me with everything I needed and more, every single time. Amazing staff, Knowledgeable, polite and helpful.
