My family and I visited 'A Pickled Thought' art gallery while we were on holiday in Totnes in summer 2021. We all loved the style of Charlie and Isabelle and wanted to buy a piece as memento of our trip to the South of Devon and ‘A Picked Thought' art gallery.
With so much choice, we shortlisted a few pieces and ordered online when returned home. I received my order very quickly and it was very well packaged.
A beautiful art gallery with fascinating art, very friendly artists (mother and daughter) and excellent service! A Pickled Thought is a must visit for anyone visiting Totnes and the South of Devon.

We have been looking for a picture for our living room for so long now so were pleased to see so many beautiful paintings in the window of this lovely gallery in Totnes. Sadly we couldn't afford an original painting but the prints were great quality. We had a lovely chat with Charlie, the artist, who was happy to take some time out from painting, to talk to us about what we would like. Charlie and her daughter Isabelle run the gallery and both have been so helpful. They were more than willing to commission a larger print for us which would be better for our wall, and Charlie suggested a particular frame that might go well with the image. Great communication from the gallery and our print was done quickly and framed to a brilliant standard. They even dropped off the print at our door. Couldnt ask for a better service! Would definitely recommend buying a picture from ''A Pickled Thought". We may well be visiting again!

We stumbled across this lovely shop while mooching about in Totnes and we're so glad we did! The pictures are so unusual and me and my husband really loved two of them, and we never agree on art, so we had to buy them. Isabelle was so lovely and helpful, and she opened the shop early so we could collect them on the last day of our holiday before heading home. Highly recommend both the amazing art work and the friendly, personal service.

Fill your lives with some of the beauty A Pickled Thought has to offer!!! Charlie and Izzie brighten up Totnes with their beautiful hearts, colour, passion and exceptional creative talent. I commissioned Charlie to paint a very personal 90 x 40 piece for me. Working with and getting to know Charlie has been an absolute joy. In discussing my needs Charlie was kind, patient and actively listened and questioned to really understand the journey I was on. Despite the trust and confidence I had in her I am a worrier. But I need not have worried a second. Charlie’s interpretation and translation of every little detail I sought into her iconic style and use of vibrant colours simply surpassed all expectations. The end result has been a stunning masterpiece that symbolises the journey I am on in a new chapter of my life. Charlie’s creation will hang with pride in my office to inspire me everyday and drive me to inspire others through the work that I do.
