Called in for a swift pint whilst after meeting friends in Leek. Good selection of beers etc, very quiet when we got there, but busy by the time we left.
Owner is a character and is good to talk to, very friendly and has a good sense of humour.
Not a big place but that's part of the character of the place, good mix of ages of clientele and not loud so people can talk and mix. Two rooms, one with bar stools at the front, the second is why the place is named what it is. Its a cave type room with an area for people to draw/scribble as though in a cave.
Prices are what you would expect for this type of bar.
Give it a go and support the local business

Myself, my wife and our two friends went into leek to have our Christmas pub crawl yesterday.

It's the first time any of us have visited the cave, but we all think the place is fantastic. It's very small and friendly. The ales are beautiful and the bloke working was really friendly and welcoming. In the back room the walls are all black and they provide pens for you to write on the walls with you memories as well as providing playing cards on the tables.

We will definitely be visiting again soon.

Stumbled across this gem after a curry with the girls, first time visiting and couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome, locals and the man behind the bar were ace giving us recommendations on other places in town to visit after. Selection of beers were bob on, we were offered samples before choosing what to order. A lovely chilled atmosphere with good tunes, the graffiti room is a lot of fun, perfect for hangman haha! They have a huge pile of board games too. Bought my son for an afternoon visit and he loved the graffiti wall. A must stop if you’re visiting leek!

Great place and worth travelling to. Plenty of bottled ales and tonnes of cans. Traditional ales through to some of the more obscure, delightful selection, along with some harder to find spirits - there certainly is something for everyone.
The prices are really good, absolutely nowhere near city prices, which makes it even more worth the journey if not local.
Always a warm welcome. You wont be disappointed!

Brilliant choice of craft cans and bottles. Lovely cosy small bar. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Recommend this place highly. It isn't local to me but I'll be back for a couple of drinks next time I'm in Leek.

Excellent couple of hours spent tasting the very wide selection of beers . Fantastic host and made us feel very relaxed and welcome. Absolutely loved it. Definitely be back again very soon. Well done and thanks for looking after us.

Absolutely fabulous selection of beer and ciders across a wide range from stouts to craft lagers and even a few interesting whisky and gins. The owners are on hand to help advise if you need a little help choosing or want to try out anything new.
